Sculptures You Can Sit On (But Aren’t Chairs)?
Interior design students at UT Austin are in for a treat! Berlin-based artist Claudia Wieser is leading a unique workshop, “The Auratic Object,” where the definition of an object gets deliciously blurred.
Intrigued? Here’s why this workshop is a must-attend:
- Challenge Your Perception:Â Wieser’s work is all about pushing boundaries. Get ready to create objects that defy function and spark new ideas about art and space.
- Learn from a Master:Â Wieser’s background is as diverse as her art. From blacksmithing to geometric sculptures, she’ll share her creative process and inspire the next generation of designers.
- Public Lecture: Material Matters:Â Don’t miss Wieser’s free public lecture on March 27th! Delve into her thoughts on materials and their role in shaping our experience of art.
There’s more! This workshop is part of a special UT Austin initiative funded by the Emily Summers Fund for Craft & Artisanship in Interior Design. The program brings renowned artists to campus to showcase the importance of craft and artisanship in interior spaces.
Love art, design, and thinking outside the box? This is your chance to be inspired.
