To ensure you’re filling out the right version, attend a free online financial aid workshop specifically designed to help students navigate the latest FAFSA application process. The workshop will be held on March 28th at 5 p.m. Current and future college students are welcome to participate.
Free FAFSA Workshop on March 28th
Led by Zabrina Yannella, a college completion coach with the Michigan College Access Network, the workshop will cover everything you need to know about the 2024-25 FAFSA application. You’ll learn valuable tips and strategies to complete the form accurately and efficiently. Additionally, students can receive personalized guidance through one-on-one application assistance “walkthroughs” with a financial aid specialist.
What to Bring to the FAFSA Workshop
To prepare for the workshop and expedite the application process, here’s what you’ll need:
- Create an FSA ID Beforehand: An FSA ID (account username and password) is required to access Federal Student Aid websites and complete the FAFSA form online. You can create an FSA ID beforehand at https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/.
- Required Documents Checklist:Â Gather the necessary documents before the workshop. This includes your IRS Form 1040 tax information, Social Security number, and driver’s license (parents’ SSN if dependent).
